Wednesdays, when I was little, in northern Italy, were made for carrot salad and meat tartare. I know it sounds fancy, but it was a simple dish we would eat every week, whether with my mom or my maternal grandparents. I remember it as one of my favorites, made of simple ingredients and that made my mom smile.
